Membership Benefits

  • Asian Association of Law Professors (AALP) is a not for profit consortium of institutions and individuals and its first conference is being hosted by Kathmandu School of Law, Nepal (KSL). KSL itself being one of the founding institutional member of the AALP is committed to put forward the institutional founder’s fee towards the cost of establishing AALP and organising its first conference in July 2019.

 Institutional Membership – USD 250

(Renewable every year on 10th July)

Individual Membership – USD 150

(Renewable every year on 10th July)

              

  1. This membership will recognize the institution as a member of AALP.
  2. Joint Master’s in Law Program based out at consortium of institutions.
  3. Professor Exchange Program between member institutions.
  4. Development of legal scholarship and research initiatives of partner members.
  5. Regular Student Exchange Program between institutions
  6. Doctoral Research Assistance and collaboration between partner members
  7. Law Students Alumni Network
  8. Preference will be given to faculty and scholars from the institution for events and conference with USD 50 discount on registration fee.

   

  1. This membership shall ensure that the institution will always be recognized and promoted as the founding member of AALP.
  2. This membership will also ensue that Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Dean or Head of Department nominated by the institution will be member of the Executive Council of the AALP. The nominated individual will enjoy the position till the time the institution continues to nominate him and will be replaced as and when the institution so requests.
  3. The individual nominated will not be required to pay annual conference registration fee for participation.
  4. Preference will be given to faculty and scholars from the institution for events and conference with USD 50 discount on registration fee.
  5. Two copies of any publication by AALP will be provided complimentary every year.

  1. This membership will recognize the individual as a member of AALP.
  2. The member will be eligible to stand for executive council elections.
  3. The member will automatically be part of a country chapter, if instituted in the country of member.
  4. Preference will be given to members and scholars for events and conferences with USD 50 discount on registration fee.
  5. Development of legal scholarship and research initiatives of partner members.
  6. Doctoral Research Assistance and collaboration between partner members.
  7. Preference at the two months visiting fellowship program.
